Sony Model TC-280

Solid-State Stereo Tape Deck

If you're on a limited budget, our lowest-priced stereo reel-to-reel tape deck, the TC-280, is for you!  It's loaded with features usually found only on much more expensive machines - like Ferrite and Ferrite heads; Uniphase - which permits 2-channel recording of SO* matrixed 4-channel sound from either tapes or records for playback through a decoder and 4-channel amplifier; a tape select switch for optimum recording equalization when using standard or low noise high output tape.  There's also a 4-digit tape counter; and the versatility of vertical/horizontal operation.  Walnut base is included.
