Tape Head Demagnetizer Instructions

1. Turn off your audio or video recorder and REMOVE the tape. Then plug the Demagnetizer cord into any standard wall outlet
2. MAKING SURE the Demagnetizer is at least 12 inches away from the tape heads, turn the power switch on and hold it on. SLOWLY and SMOOTHLY move the Demagnetizer towards the tape heads, directing the tip over the entire surface of the heads for about 1 second, being careful not to touch tape heads. Then very SLOWLY and SMOOTHLY move the Demagnetizer away from the tape heads until it is at least 12 inches away from the heads before releasing the power switch. NOTE: It is vital that the Demagnetizer be removed slowly from the tape heads because it is the gradual separation of the Demagnetizer from the tape heads which results in optimum demagnetization
3. All tapes should be at least 12 inches away from the Demagnetizer while it is operation
